Medical Guardian, Bay Alarm Medical and Lively sell alarm buttons with a monthly fee. I'm Alive is a daily check-in on your phone: miss it, and the people you chose are told. Premium is $29.99 a year.
Set up in a few minutes: choose your plan, create your account, then install the app to start checking in.
I'm Alive alerts the people you choose. It is not an emergency service or a medical device, and it does not call 911.
If falls are the main worry, or you need trained staff to answer within minutes, day or night, a monitored alarm does that job and I'm Alive does not. I'm Alive covers a quieter worry: that a day could pass and nobody would know. Some families use both.
