Founder, I'm Alive
I built I'm Alive after my father passed away in 2003 while I was finishing my MBA. I wasn't there. I didn't know. That phone call from my sister never left me.
For the next two decades, every product I built was shaped by one idea: keeping people connected when it matters most. I'm Alive is the most direct expression of that idea — a free daily check-in that lets families know their loved ones are safe, with one tap and no surveillance.
I write about family safety, eldercare technology, aging in place, and what we've learned from thousands of people using I'm Alive every day. Everything on this site that carries my byline, I've personally researched, written, and stand behind.
When I get something wrong, I correct it publicly. When a safety claim needs a citation, I cite the primary source — CDC, NHS, NIH, peer-reviewed journals. Family safety isn't a niche where you can guess.
