Everything you need to talk about I'm Alive accurately. This is a safety product, so copy that overstates what it does is worse than no copy at all. Following this page is a condition of the affiliate terms.
In one sentence
I'm Alive is a daily check-in app: you tap once a day, and if you miss it, the people you choose are told, so someone always knows to check on you.
What you can say
- Check in with one tap a day. If you miss it, the people you chose are alerted.
- Your contacts don't need the app. Alerts reach them by email and app notification, and by text on Premium and Premium Plus.
- Lifetime: $4.99, paid once. 1 contact, up to 5 missed check-in alerts a month, by email and app notification.
- Premium: $29.99 a year. An alert every time you miss a check-in, texts as well as email and app notifications, up to 10 contacts, a once-a-week check-in if daily is too much, up to 2 check-in times a day.
- Premium Plus: $39.99 a year. Everything in Premium, up to 3 check-in times a day, live location sharing and Follow Me for trips.
- There's a free version in the app with 1 contact and one alert a month.
- Pause it when you're away. Opening the app can count as your check-in, if you turn that on.
- On iPhone, check in from a home-screen widget or by saying "Hey Siri, I'm OK".
- You can send a clearly marked test alert and see that it was delivered.
- Yearly plans renew until cancelled. Lifetime is a single payment.
- Works on iPhone and Android.
What you must never say
- That it's an emergency service, a medical device, or 24/7 monitoring, or that it calls 911, 999 or 000.
- That it guarantees anyone's safety.
- A free trial on the website (there isn't one).
- Unlimited alerts on Lifetime (it's up to 5 a month).
- Fall detection as a reason to buy, AI voice calls, weekly safety summaries, arrival alerts or SOS location sharing.
- That phone activity or movement shows someone is safe.
- User numbers, ratings, reviews or press we haven't given you.
- Fear-led claims about falls, dying alone or being found days later.
- That someone is protected before they've finished setting up.
- "Seniors" or "elderly". Say "people who live independently" or "a parent who lives alone".
