Your Coverage Stops at the Front Gate. Ours Doesn't.

On-property safety systems and staff coverage don't travel with a resident when they leave for a day trip, an appointment, or a solo walk off-campus. Trip Timer closes that specific gap.

A large, occupancy-constrained market

Senior housing occupancy is running high — independent living reached 91% and assisted living 87.9% in early 2026, per NIC MAP data. AHCA/NCAL separately counts roughly 41,465 assisted living communities with nearly 1.4 million licensed beds nationally. We want to be precise about what these numbers mean: neither source breaks out independent-living residents specifically — both span the full senior-housing spectrum (independent living, assisted living, and memory care combined). We're citing them as real market context, not as an independent-living-specific figure.

What Trip Timer actually does

A missed-arrival alert, not live tracking

A resident sets an expected return time before heading out. If they don't check in by then, their chosen contact is alerted once, with their last-known location — there's no continuous GPS tracking while they're out.

Fits independent, active residents

For residents who value their independence and regularly leave the property — for errands, social visits, or exercise — this gives families and community staff a concrete answer to “what if something happens off-site?” without adding supervision.

A resident-level opt-in, not a facility mandate

Individual residents choose to use it and choose who's notified. We're not proposing a facility-wide monitoring system — it stays a personal safety tool a resident controls.

A differentiator for prospective residents

Families evaluating independent-living communities often ask what happens off-property. Being able to point to a concrete answer — even one residents opt into individually — is a real conversation point during tours.

Being upfront

We don't have a case study from a retirement community partnership yet, and we haven't secured a relationship with NAHB, Age Safe, or any similar body — those are things we're pursuing, not things we've achieved. The pilot program is the honest path to becoming the first real reference.

Start with a zero-commitment pilot

15-25 seats, 90 days, no card required, a written summary report at the end.
