It can be, but only for households with an approved Pflegegrad (German long-term-care level) — libifyHome starts at €9.55/month and libifyMobil 2.0 at €12.55/month with that approval, both cheaper than I'm Alive's $29.99/year. Without an approved Pflegegrad, Libify's own site doesn't publish a full retail price, so we can't make a direct comparison for that case — we're not going to guess a number.
What is a Pflegegrad, and do I need one for Libify?
A Pflegegrad is a German long-term-care level assigned after a formal assessment, which determines eligibility for care-insurance-subsidized services. Libify's published discounted pricing (libifyHome, libifyMobil 2.0) requires an approved Pflegegrad. I'm Alive requires no such approval process — you can start using it the same day, regardless of care-level status.

Does I'm Alive offer fall detection like Libify's libifyHome?
I'm Alive does have automatic fall detection, but it is narrower than libifyHome's and the difference matters: ours is iPhone-only, on a paid plan, and off until you switch it on — there is no Android version and no hardware sensor. libifyHome does it with dedicated in-home equipment, alongside a video/family app, for households with an approved Pflegegrad. Our main approach is still different: a daily check-in that catches situations regardless of cause, rather than sensor-based detection of one specific event type.
