Partner terms

These are the same terms as our affiliate program: organizations, creators and affiliates are paid the same way. Apply on the partner program page. Questions: support@imalive.co.

1. What you earn

20% of the full price of each referred customer's first payment, once per customer, in US dollars:

• $1.00 when they choose Lifetime ($4.99, paid once)
• $6.00 when they choose Premium ($29.99 a year)
• $8.00 when they choose Premium Plus ($39.99 a year)

There is no extra commission for renewals or upgrades, and none for the free version of the app.

2. How a referral is credited

1. You share your link, imalive.co/r/YOURCODE, or a link to one of our landing pages, imalive.co/r/YOURCODE/page (see the list).
2. The link saves your code in the reader's browser for 60 days.
3. When the reader signs in or checks out on our website in that browser, their account is linked to you.
4. When they buy a paid plan within 60 days of the referral, your commission is recorded.

• First referral wins. An account already linked to another affiliate stays with them.
• Existing I'm Alive users count. A free user who upgrades through your link within 60 days earns you the commission.
• Store purchases count once the account is linked to you through our website. A reader who only installs the app is not matched automatically. Tell us the name or email they used and we check it by hand.
• Cookie choices are respected. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland the link is saved only after the reader accepts cookies. If they decline, the purchase is not credited.

3. What we don't pay for

• Payments that are refunded or charged back.
• App store free trials that never became a payment.
• Your own purchases (self-referral).
• Purchases more than 60 days after the referral.
• Test purchases.

4. How you're paid

• Monthly, by PayPal, in US dollars.
• A commission becomes payable 30 days after the purchase, once the refund window has passed.
• The minimum payout is $20. Smaller balances roll over to the next month.
• Before your first payout we ask for a tax form: a W-9 if you are in the US, a W-8BEN if you are not. We keep it privately.

5. What we ask of you

• Disclose the relationship in every post, for example with #ad or “affiliate link”, as FTC and ASA rules require.
• Describe I'm Alive accurately: a daily check-in app that alerts the people you choose if you miss a check-in. It is not an emergency or medical service, and it does not call 911, 999 or 000.
• Never bid on “I'm Alive” brand terms in paid search.
• Never use our name as a username or a domain.
• Never offer discounts we have not issued.
• Never pay or reward people for signing up.
• Never pay for, or promise, app store ratings or reviews.

6. A page for the people you support

Ask us about a landing page for your clients, residents or members. It goes live only after you have approved its wording.
